Do we have to use both compounds of tyre in this series.. couldn't see it mentioned anywhere (but it could be staring me in the face of course ).

As there is no way to enforce it in the game, the compound choice is fully up to the driver during the races. You can go with either tire depending on preference/ strategy.Hammerpgh wrote:Do we have to use both compounds of tyre in this series.. couldn't see it mentioned anywhere (but it could be staring me in the face of course ).

Cheers Nic. I assumed that was the case but just thought I would make sure.EpilepticToast wrote:As there is no way to enforce it in the game, the compound choice is fully up to the driver during the races. THat was a while ago Peter. THese kind of leagues are hard to maintain, so I hope we have a good run! You can assure that drivers pit by making sure their tires wear out (we had to run 3x), but as far as mandating (as does IndyCar) that both soft and hard be used, no. Should make for some interesting choices if the speed deltas are enough and the pits are short enough.
Oh, IN.

Pretty disappointed tonight.. just had it dumped on me that my daughter has been invited to a birthday party on Saturday... 4pm to 8pm... pick up point is around an hour away so there's a fair chance I won't make it in time for practice or quali. If you don't qualify in these races does the game still allow you into the race? If it does is there a likelihood this will cause a problem on the grid?
Really gutted as I've been looking forward to this since finding out about it and Willow Springs is one of my favorite tracks. Not a happy bunny at all!!

Right guys sorry for the delays in get back to you all I've been on late shift this week and it's been bonkers.
Pete, Qualifying doesn't officially start till 9pm and it's half an hour so as long as your on by 20 past it should be good. There's also a 10 minute warm up but I'm not sure if you can join the lobby during that or not.
Also the weather is CLEAR.
I have also created a Real World IndyCar Chat thread so real world racing and the series don't get mixed up and we don't end up with crossed wires.
Really looking forward to tomorrow night all those that attended the test night will also be happy to know my wheel is back so I won't be so erratic with my driving :lol!:

Weather's CLEAR? F!N tires won't last 5 laps. Pit crews better get a good night's sleep.

I normally keep mine topped up with beer it's amazing how quick they can service a car that way.

Can't see me being back in time. Major traffic problems on the route I have to take to pick up my daughter and is going to be the sane on the way back so barring a major change there's very little chance of me getting home by 9:30 now.DSRLReadingRich wrote:Right guys sorry for the delays in get back to you all I've been on late shift this week and it's been bonkers.

Really disappointed as I've been really looking forward to this series. Hope you have a decent turnout and all manage to have good race.
Sorry for the no-show
