I can't bear to inflict that sort of time loss on any team...IF I did this I'd be like the kid that gets picked last for the teams at school.... (oh that was me!)

It doesnt matter on lap times. Its keeping it out of the walls and getting through your stint safely without issues.
This event is for people to enjoy and work together.
I hope you decide to race it, and even maybe setup your own team and recruit some drivers. Even the fast ones! If you dont ask you wont get Smile

That's the spirit and what we want to see guys helping others.

It will be rewarding for all involved if it pays off, and if not, lessons learned and experience gained.

And hopefully friendships forged! Smile

HaHa que mission impossible theme...

I just tried a few laps and i appears my memory is a bit slow too..I was actually doing 1.43 before.

now doing consistent 1.40s and a best of 1.39.4

edit: now down to 1.37.5

People keeping their powder dry it seems lol. 1:33's and 32's are beyond me i'm afraid. low 36's in my practice session the other day so maybe can get into the 35's but can't see me finding 3 seconds Shocked

Love the helmet cam for this one btw. I used it for a while in a classic Lotus series but then went away from it for some reason that I can't remember but it's an additional bit of immersion that i'll stick with from now on.

I really wouldn't worry too much about lap times hammer. As long as you keep the car on track at a good consistent pace you will find yourself near the front.

Don't worry Hammer, my first time back in a LMP2 in probably over a year. Was only able to pull a 1:37.4 just running a few laps. But I intend on putting a lot of practice in the week before.

I'm appreciative of Ben for putting me in the car. I have to travel to Milwaukee that day so I'm hoping to do the first stint. By my calculations it looks like each stint is 46 hot laps averaging 1hr 11mins per stint, total of 4 hrs 46 mins of racing not including caution or pace laps.

Yeah thats about right mate. Think it will be about 1 hrs 15 mins with the pace car laps of 2 at the begining of stint 1 and 1 for stints 2, 3 and 4.

There will be no saftey cars called mid stint for crashes as thats the challenge, if you crash. Its going to cost you. Wink

So the first qualifying session has been and gone. Akquq Racing have laid down a hugely impressive 1:31.388, that moves them straight into contention for pole. Second is Petroblast Racing with a 1:32.567. Third is Anglo French Motorsport on a 1:33.424. Fourth is Full Throttle Racing on a 1:33.605. Fifth is Dedicated Rebellion on a 1:35.138.

Both Akquq Racing and Dedicated Rebellion have had both their drivers do their qualifying sessions. So unless they sign more drivers through the week, those times will be taken into the final qualifying positions.

Petroblast Racing, Anglo French Motorsport and Full Throttle Racing still have more opportunities this week to improve on their times. We are still yet to see any times from DSRL Motorsport, G.W.R Global Wheel Racing, Prancing Moose Motorsport or UP2SpeedCustoms and may well have a big affect on the qualifying order.

As always having a clean race with consistent times is mostly preferable to fast but risky. This track can catch you out in the blink of an eye.. one misplaced wheel and you're in the wall so quick lap times can very quickly be spoiled by the need for an extra pit stop or running with damage.
