TheDSRL Formula 2000 UK Championship is a non-contact sport featuring 2 litre powered single seater race cars racing at 6 circuits around the uk, making up 8 events.

It is understandable that sometimes, due to connection lag, contact between 2 or more competing cars is inevitable. When such situations happen, a competing driver may be asked to reset their xbox and/or internet routers. If there is no further improvement, a driver may be asked to leave the event.

There are 22 spaces available in this championship and will use all liveries currently available in Project CARS.

Registering for the Championship

There will be 2 ways of registering for the championship, either as a privateer or as part of a team.

8 teams will be allowed entry to the championship and will be comprised of up to 2 drivers. There are then 6 further spaces for privateers

Teams are able to register as freely as they wish. However, nominated drivers must be a registered member of the forum.

Privateers are able to register as freely as they wish.

Signing in

Race event sign in will open up approximately 1 week before the event will take place. Drivers must post 'IN' by 6pm, to take up a place on race night. If a driver does not post 'IN', the host will assume that they are not competing.

Drivers are asked to be online approximately 15 minutes before race start time to ensure that hosts are able to get out all their invites and the event can start promptly.

Due to issues with the Project CARS 'game chat', an xbox live party will be used for communication. This will limit a race to 16 drivers. So if there are more than 16 drivers who have signed in for race night, there will be 2 lobbies for the nights racing.

The Car

The only car eligible for this championship in the Formula C single seater. This a very raw racing cars and does not feature any driver aids.

There is however the ability to use automatic gears if a driver wishes.

Race night

At each event, the format will be a 15 minutes qualifying session followed by 3 races, each being around 30 miles in length. Points will be awarded for each race and each will be accounted for with regards to dropped rounds.

The qualifying session will start at 8pm once all drivers are into their lobby and correct cars. The 15 minute session will start immediately once into the session. The the time counter gets to 15 minutes, the session will end and any drivers on a 'fast lap' will be allowed to finish that lap. Afterwards, all drivers will be required to return to the garage.

Once all drivers have completed their laps, the race host will take a screenshot of the results and will be taken towards the overall qualifying results. These results will then be posted on the Event page on this forum.

After qualifying, drivers will be invited to their new lobby for the nights racing.

Race 1

[*]Race 1 start will be started in a standing start formation. Drivers will complete 1 formation lap, before lining up on the starting grid in the order they qualified in. Once the last car has lined up, pole position will then declare when the race will start by use of the time counter.  The race will then be run until a winner in declared at the end of the final lap.

Race 2

[*]Race 2 start will be started in a standing start formation. Drivers will complete 1 formation lap, before lining up on the starting grid in the order they finished in race 1. Once the last car has lined up, pole position will then declare when the race will start by use of the time counter.  The race will then be run until a winner in declared at the end of the final lap.

Race 3

[*]Race 3 start will be started in a standing start formation. Drivers will complete 1 formation lap, before lining up on the starting grid in a reverse order to how they finished race 2. Once the last car has lined up, pole position will then declare when the race will start by use of the time counter.  The race will then be run until a winner in declared at the end of the final lap.

There will be 3 championships to compete for in TheDSRL Formula 2000 UK Championship: Drivers, Teams and Privateers.

The points will be scored on the following basis

1st - 35
2nd - 32
3rd - 30
4th - 28
5th - 26
6th - 25

Points will reduce by 1 point by all following positions until reaching 30th place. Thereafter all competitors will receive 1 point.

Technically no it isn't. Im happy for you to use it if you wish as it doesn't affect how the car handles or performs.

The weather is the actual forecast on the track location on race day. Webbers post them on saturdays but you can always look up the weather if you want. http://forecast.io/#/f/53.1844,-2.6011
