Re: Registration
if your scrapping a car it may be worth re-thinking the series, in my opinion multi class never works.
what will you do if numbers in one car drop, will that car be scrapped mid season?
if your trying to spice up the racing so the same guys don't win all the time then some more brainstorming might be needed, lol.
it may be that you need to change race starts, 1st race goes from qually position then the grid is set weekly in reverse, so the guy leading in points starts at the back, this way you have more chance of different winners, as example if Aid has to pass Toast as they start last and 2nd last then it will give the guys at the front time to get away a little and maybe if the races are just 20 mns long they may be able to hold on and win.
rigging the start this way also means different ppl probably start on pole each race.
its much harder to regulate and do but its easier than multi class, lol

Re: Registration
Or do i did in the bttc series grid possition goes by race points after first race. The higher up the points table the lower down grid you start so if your last in the points you start pole first in points start last. There nothing to sort out just formation on the out lap
After that been said i dont care what we do or how i just here for the clean racing. And banter

Re: Registration
What about running the clios as a 'support series' before the main event? Perhaps as an open public lobby, with a view to encouraging new users in to the leagues?
DSRL McDuff
Re: Registration
I didnt want to get rid of the Clios as i was in that class and loved the car but unfortunately i felt that we had to with numbers being so low. All the admins agreed on this thorugh a vote so thats why we have taken action now. The orignal first series for the 200k was season 1 on The DSRL and it consisted of 2 classes of LMP2 and GT3. This time we had decided to run it with GT3 as the top class and TC as the second class. Adding the Clios was done at the last mintue to try something different to other leagues but unfortunatly numbers let it down. So alls we are doing is reverting to our original plans for the second 200k series.
This is The DSRL's signiture event that will be taking place every so often as this is what started the league for Webbers. Everything will be ran as normal just without the Clio Cup class. Sorry for any inconvenience but we belive that its for the best interests of everybody racing.
But yes a support series of Clios would be great fun but not everyone gets the time early on a sunday or midweek. Thats why the events midweek are for fun and not competitive at the moment until bigger numbers can race midweek.

Re: Registration
no probs, was the last 200k x3 tyre wear?
and its all good having a signature series but it has to be the right series, wednesdays would be a good way to see what ppl like, base it around the most requested cars and tracks then no one can complain, lol

Re: Registration
No but we found that it would make it far more interesting for us to have to manage tyre life and get the setup right for you as a driver and strategy now plays a part as it does in real endurance racing. I couldnt get the tyres to last on the TC and now i have adjusted the setup I can. GT3 cars are finding it harder to get the tyres to last but there is 3 compounds to use. Find whats best for you and your car and your onto a winner.
This is what started the DSRL when Webbers first made the forum so he wanted to revisit it with a different twist. Thats why its not exactly the same as before.
We have had something for everyone with all the seasons. We have had something slower with the Ginetta, We have had Open Wheel with the FC, We did GT3 vs LMP2 in the first 200k and now we have Touring cars in this 200k with the most popular car on the game being the GT3 and in the series too. So nobody can say we haven't had the type of car they like lol

Re: Registration
Yes rebel i did read the rules that's why i'm asking the questions.
i've never ran with x3 tyre wear as from experience it's too much, so i felt i would ask the question.
i got my answer and all is well in the world, till i get the pit bug and then i'll be fuming, lol
As for TVRF, it was great but like all bright things, it burnt out, it's still around, somewhere, and may make a return, who knows.....................(you have to read the last bit with a dun dun daaaah in your head)
